U.P. Governor honours sanitation workers

Lucknow: Governor of Uttar Pradesh  Anandiben Patel  during her one day visit to Shahjahanpur honoured sanitation workers and children in a programme organised by All India Safai Mazdoor Garib Utthan Union.

While addressing on this occasion, the Governor said that Swachhata Abhiyan has been started by the  Prime Minister since last 10 years. She said that the habit of cleanliness should be inculcated in the coming generation. Do not throw garbage anywhere while coming and going on the road. She especially told the children, sanitation workers and teachers that it is very important to maintain cleanliness and hygiene.

In her address, she said that education is necessary for every child and also stressed on proper education system for children. She said that no child should be deprived of education. She stressed on all public representatives, officers and social workers to remain active towards their responsibilities and said that whatever responsibilities have been given, they should be fulfilled properly.

During the visit to the district, the Governor also visited the famous Hanuman Dham of the district and performed Puja-Archana. On this occasion, State Finance and Parliamentary Affairs Minister  Suresh Kumar Khanna, BJP District President  K.C. Mishra, Mayor of Shahjahanpur district  Archana Verma and other dignitaries were present.
